Are you trying for tickets?

πŸ“’ If you're getting your parkas on and purses ready for tonight and tomorrow morning's ticket releases then here is who you're up against...

The Oasis reunion tour has sparked unprecedented levels of excitement across the globe. So much so, that they've already added three more tour dates! Opinium wanted to find out the extent of the demand and just how many Brits are trying their luck for tickets. The answer is...

12.4 million.

That's right, 23% of Brits are definitely maybe trying for Oasis tickets in the next 48 hours. With over half of those people (54%) expressing how they NEED to be there.

πŸ—Ί Focussing on the cities that will be hosting the 2025 tour, here's how many people there will be in the online queues from each location:

Manchester - 23%

Edinburgh - 27%

Cardiff - 28%

London - 33%

🚻 And if you're wondering what the crowd might look like, half of respondents aged 18-34 will be trying their luck (48%) with the 35-54 category looking less keen (24%) and so few over 55s (5%). Furthermore, the gender split is pretty even: of those trying for tickets, 25% are male and 22% are female.

Wishing the very best of luck to all 12.4 million of you who are trying for tickets! Lets see how this unfolds over the weekend... brace yourselves! 🎟

How far could you throw a pumpkin?

Could you throw a pumpkin a distance of 10 metres? To launch the brand new Opinium Pulse series, we carved out some seriously spooky stats!

We asked the UK population how far they think they could throw an average 3kg pumpkin, on a scale of <1 metre to 40 metres. Here’s what we picked from the patch:

πŸŽƒ 13% of men claimed 10m, vs 3% of women
πŸŽƒ 30% of over 65s believe they could not reach 1m
πŸŽƒ 15% of UK adults answered 2m

The total average distance was 4.7m. However, the average distance of men vs women was quite drastic: 6.6m vs 2.9m.

As for region, Northern Ireland did not feel confident as a quarter (24%) believe they could not achieve 1m. In contrast, Londoners make up the largest percentage (14%) of those who claim they could reach 5m.
